He is a pianist of international, with numerous international performances to his credit. Dr. Hwi Hwang has performed his solo recitals and with orchestras at the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, Europe, Cuba, Bulgaria, Hungary, England, South Korea, Czech Republic, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Ukraine, and United States.
He exudes strong stage performance presence both with orchestras and as a soloist. He is also highly regarded as a vocal accompanist and chamber musician. In the year 2004, his performance of the Liszt Piano Concerto No.1 with Russian Federal Orchestra was commercially released under the Angelok Label.
Dr. Hwi Hwang holds a bachelor degree in piano from Keimyung University, South Korea and a master and doctor in piano performance from University of North Texas, USA. He has taught at Keimyung University as full time Visiting Professor and Andong National University, Daegu Art University, Daegu National University of Education, Dong-A University as lecturer.
